MASTER CRAFTSMAN & WARREN-BASED CERAMIST PAT WARWICK TO EXHIBIT @ AMERICAN FINE CRAFT SHOW @ BROOKLYN MUSEUM NOV. 21-22

Warwick was handpicked to sell her sea-inspired ceramics in Brooklyn Museum's Beaux-Arts Court the weekend before Thanksgiving

Ceramists such as Pat Warwick whose studio is in Warren, as well as craftsmen in glass, wood, wool and leather, will transform their materials to one-of-a-kind decorative and functional pieces to highlight the third American Fine Craft Show Brooklyn at Brooklyn Museum November 21-22, 2015. This work will punctuate the museum’s Beaux-Arts Court joined by jewelry and fashion. There will be 90 handpicked artists in all.

On her website, Warwick wrote that she “has never been far from the sea. Raised in New England, she spent many summers in the beach town of Old Lyme, Connecticut.” She illustrated and designed materials for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute’s Marine Resource center. These drawings “became the basis for her first installation- a school of fish for her own kitchen. Over thirty years later her commissioned work can be seen in homes around the world and here, in both galleries and juried artisan shows.” She still lives by the sea, in Warren, and continues to refine her signature themes while exploring new tribal designs inspired by her travels to Zanzibar, Mali and Tanzania.
