Warren Gallery in Search of Artists
IMAGO Foundation for the Arts invites participation in their annual Open Community Show.
Local artists take note. IMAGO Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is inviting you to submit up to three pieces of art for their annual Open Community Show to be held at the in Warren.
The unjuried show will run from February 3 through February 19 and will showcase all media. Works must be ready to hang and “able to fit through a normal sized door.” Drop off is at the IMAGO Gallery on January 29 and January 30 from 12 to 4 p.m. There is an entry fee of $12 per piece or $30 for three pieces. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. 100% of the proceeds from sales go to the artist.
While IMAGO Gallery is a for-profit member-run fine art gallery, the IFA is a separate non-profit extension of the gallery run by a board of directors. The mission of the Foundation is to foster arts in the community. Admission fees from the Open Community Show go back into the IFA and help fund future events. In past years the show has represented up to 30 different artists, including those new to galleries as well as established artists.

An opening reception for the exhibition will include recognition awards. According to Board Member and IMAGO Gallery artist Mary Dondero, peers from the Foundation give out the awards for encouragement.
“This is the one big show we do per year so it’s open for all to come together,” Dondero said. “It’s a celebration of the creative talents in our community.”
