Women Learn a Little Striptease Action at New Local Studio
Striptease moves meet a Zumba workout in this class held at La Vida! Dance Studio.
Instructor Anne Saldi's slogan, "Dancing naughty is good for the body,"™ pretty much sums up the "Hip to Strip" class taught on Thursday night at a new dance and fitness studio in Bristol.
Saldi, Zumba instructor and owner of VaVaVoom Dance Fitness in Framingham MA, made a special trip to visit her friend, Deana Viera, owner of La Vida! Dance and Fitness, to teach a special girl's night out striptease class. The class, a mixture of Zumba dance and striptease moves, promised not only to boost self confidence but also guaranteed laughs.
"It's all about confidence," Saldi explained to class. "Men like confidence, they don't really care about all of the things we worry about."

In the one-hour class, more than 50 women ranging in ages from their mid-20s to mid-50s, learned how to "pop that booty" and to strengthen their core by isolating movement of body parts for some of the moves.
"Every woman has an inner Diva," Saldi said. "Do you know that it's okay to feel sexy? It's okay to feel sexy!"

Though the class is not necessarily designed for the next up-and-coming stripper, Saldi admits that it is a fun way to exercise, and more importantly, can make women more confident and more aware of their bodies.
"Women love feeling sexy and fit," Saldi said."It's a class every woman should try once."
Saldi's Hip to Strip class is offered at her studio, VaVaVoom Dance and Fitness, in Framingham, MA. Viera, owner of La Vida! Dance and Fitness studio, which recently opened next door to Benny's on Metacom Avenue, teaches an array of Zumba classes and says she plans on asking Saldi to return to teach Hip to Strip again. Viera will also be hosting a Grand Opening for the studio on Sunday afternoon, June 26.
