• RI Hospitality Education Foundation Awards David DePetrillo Memorial Scholarships (rinewstoday.com) — Carolina’s own Ella Murphy has earned a David DePetrillo Memorial Scholarship to study Baking & Pastry Arts at Johnson & Wales University, after excelling in Chariho’s ProStart program and placing second nationally in SkillsUSA. Two other Rhode Island students were also honored, as the RI Hospitality Education Foundation continues investing in local youth preparing for hospitality careers.
