FBI And RISP Arrest Central Falls Man On Gun Charges: Cops

CENTRAL FALLS, RI— The FBI and Rhode Island State Police arrested a Central Falls man on gun charges, police said.

Ruben Josue Depina Andrade, 20, was arrested about 6 a.m. Sept. 22, the state police said in a media release.

Depina Andrade was charged with license or permit required for carrying a pistol, alteration of marks of identification on firearms, restrictions on manufacture, sale and purchase of prohibited firearms, possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, and sale of a concealed weapon, according to the release.

"This arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the (state police) Intelligence Unit," the release said.

Depina Andrade was processed at state police headquarters and taken to Sixth Division District Court for an arraignment where he was presented as a bail violator, according to the release.
