Rhode Island Residents Most 'House Proud' In America: Study

Rhode Islanders spend more time cleaning their homes than the residents of any other state in America, a recent study revealed.

"For Americans who like to keep their homes spotless, where you live appears to make a big difference to how much time is spent cleaning each year," according to the study conducted by Liberty Home Products, " America’s Premier Shade & Steel Products Provider Since 1979."

The study "average daily cleaning time and converting this into annual hours and the estimated yearly cost of that time."

"Rhode Island ranked first, with residents spending an average of 47 minutes per day on housework," according to Liberty Home Products. "That adds up to around 285 hours per year, with the annual value of that cleaning time estimated at $10,787, the highest figure in the study."

Rhode Island was followed by Idaho, Delaware, and Wisconsin and Nevada, which tied for fourth.

At the bottom of the list was Wyoming, with Vermont, a spot ahead, then Missouri, Connecticut and Virginia.
