Woman charged after loose dog found wandering around Coventry (wpri.com) β Coventry police say a local woman faces an animal-cruelty charge after her severely matted, underweight Shih Tzu was found wandering near MacArthur Boulevard and later treated at a veterinary hospital. The dog has recovered and is now available for adoption through the town animal shelter, giving Coventry residents a chance to offer him a safe new home by calling Animal Control.

Algae advisories lifted at Lake Tiogue, Oak Swamp Reservoir (turnto10.com) β Recreational activities are once again allowed at Lake Tiogue in Coventry after state health officials lifted harmful algae advisories based on clean test results. Residents are still urged to avoid any water showing green scum or thick mats and to report suspicious blooms with photos to the DEM so local lakes stay safe for people and pets.

3. What's the most expensive property sold in RI? Sep. 19 real estate transactions (providencejournal.com) β Several Coventry properties changed hands recently, including homes on Arnold Road, Waterman Hill Road, Cook Street, Colvintown Road, Hill Street, Windsor Park Drive, Whaley Hollow Road, Fairway Drive, and South Main Street, with sale prices ranging from about $210,000 to $725,000.
