Woman charged after loose dog found wandering around Coventry (wpri.com) — Coventry police say a local woman faces an animal-cruelty charge after her severely matted, underweight Shih Tzu was found wandering near MacArthur Boulevard and later treated at a veterinary hospital. The dog has recovered and is now available for adoption through the town animal shelter, giving Coventry residents a chance to offer him a safe new home by calling Animal Control.
