Coventry took a bus ride to North Kingstown to play some basketball, and what a game it was. With only 1:25 left in the first half the score was tied 44 - 44, when Aaron Greenwood hit one of two from the line and gave the Oakers the lead. But then North Kingstown picked up a point from the line and tied the score 45 - 45.
Coventry took the lead back when Doug Auger made one from the line making the score 47 - 46. North Kingstown then regained the lead when Steve Santos made a nice basket going down the lane, leaving the score 48 - 47 going into the half.
The second half was alot of back and fourth, but late in the game Coventry went ahead 82 - 78. With 1:15 left in the contest Garrett Douglas hit a 3 pointer from the corner and the Oakers won the game 90 -81. The Oakers next match up will be on 12/23/10 against Smithfield @ Smithfield High School.
