Briar Point Beach, Camp Watchaug Closed To Swimming

Two more Rhode Island beaches are closed.

COVENTRY, RI — Two more Rhode Island beaches are closed to swimming. On Wednesday evening, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced that Briar Point Beach in Coventry and Camp Watchaug in Charlestown are closed due to high bacteria levels.

On Tuesday morning, Scarborough Beach North was reopened, while the South beach remains closed.
