Scarborough Beach North Reopened To Swimming

Scarborough Beach South is still closed, per the Rhode Island Department of Health.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Just one day after it was closed to swimming, Scarborough Beach North is back open. The southern beach is still closed.

Both beaches were closed by the Rhode Island Department of Health on Tuesday afternoon due to high levels of bacteria in the water. On Wednesday morning, bacteria at Scarborough Beach North returned to safe levels.

Scarborough Beach South remains closed.
