Coventry Firefighters Find Lost Ring After 'Fill The Boot' Event
Coventry firefighters are looking for the person who accidentally gave a little extra during a "fill the boot" fundraiser this weekend.

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry firefighters are hoping to find the person who accidentally made an extra donation during last weekend's "fill the boot" fundraiser. A gold wedding band was found inside one of the boots when it was emptied. It has been given to the Coventry Police Department for safekeeping until its owner is found.
Firefighters collected donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association throughout the weekend at the Central Coventry Fire Station on Arnold Road and at the Anthony Station on Washington Street.
"While sorting the money collected from MDA Fill the boot this past weekend this ring pictured below was discovered in one of the boots," the firefighter's union wrote on Facebook Monday morning. "Hoping that we can track down the rightful owner."

The wide, plain gold band appears to be a men's wedding band. To claim it, contact Lieutenant Ben Witt with the Coventry Police Department by emailing bwitt@coventrypd.org.
