The 1st Annual Esophageal Cancer Walk is scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 16th, at Warwick City Park in Warwick, RI at 9:00 AM.
Walkers are encouraged to bring their pets the day of the walk and can register online by visiting: Walk.
Cost is $20 in advance of the walk or $25 the day of the walk. Children and pets can walk for free. Those who are unable to attend the walk but would still like to donate can visit: Donate.

This event is being hosted by The Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation, a new Rhode Island-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Established in Rhode Island on November 21, 2011, Salgi’s mission is to raise awareness, encourage early detection and support research in hopes of a cure for esophageal cancer. Salgi was recently able to have the State of Rhode Island recognize April as Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month.
