Third Annual Walk for the Poor

The Third Annual "Walk a Mile in My Shoes, " a 1.3-mile walk for the poor, will be held today, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI.

The Walk will benefit the non-profit Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.  Registration will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a "welcome" at 10 a.m.  The Walk will begin at 10:30 a.m.

A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, September, 25, 2011.  Dates and times for events are subject to change.  Call ahead to confirm.

(The Walk for the Poor is the only fundraiser for the Society each year.  In 2010,money raised at the walk was distributed to 1500 individuals in 39 Rhode Island communities.)
