Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Fire
Firefighters responded to 9 Paige Drive for a house fire.
Coventry Police and Fire were dispatched to 9 Paige Drive in Central Coventry for a house fire.
Engine 7 was out on an EMS run on the other side of town and ended up being third due in their first due area. The Central Coventry Fire Marshal and Anthony Engine 1 were first on the scene. Fire was showing towards the rear of the structure. A Code Red was immediately called and shortly after, a 2nd alarm was struck for manpower assistance. Tankers were requested from both Western Coventry and West Greenwich. Also, due to the call being close to shift change, both Ladder 1 and Rescue 1 were able to respond.
Ladder 1 and Rescue 1 are cross-manned out of the Anthony Fire District, meaning, if one is on a call, the other is out of service.
