Anthony E. Grilli Esq., 82, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

Anthony E. Grilli Esq., 82, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born in Providence a son of the late Anthony Grilli Esq. and Della (Cantini) Grilli.

He is survived by his wife and caretaker, Diana. He also leaves a son, Anthony Jr. and his wife Gwynne of Orlando, Fl., a stepdaughter Dawn and her husband Michael Andrews of Coventry, and five grandchildren, Sofia and Samantha Grilli and Shawna, Austen and Hanna Andrews. He leaves his brother Albert Grilli.

He was predeceased by his brother Ernest Grilli.

Anthony graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and Providence College. He followed in his father’s footsteps and received his law degree from Georgetown Law School where he graduated 3rd in his class. He practiced law in Providence for 50 years and was honored by his peers.

He was a member of the R.I. Bar Association, and Justinian Law Society. He also was a member of the Workers Compensation Board and the Arbitration Board.

His passion until his illness was playing golf and bowling. He also an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. on Monday July 6, 2015 in SS. Peter & Paul Church 48 Highland St. West Warwick. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Parkinson Disease Association R.I. Chapter, P.O. Box 41659 Providence, R.I. 02940-1659 in his memory would be appreciated.
