James E. "Harri" Harrington, 41, passed away at The Miriam Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 22, 2015.

James E. “Harri” Harrington, 41, passed away at The Miriam Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was the husband of Cara (Gosselin) Harrington. They would have celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary on September 10, 2015. He was the father of Amelia Marye Harrington and Madeline Grace Harrington. Born in Warwick, RI, he was the son of Ernest and Ann (Warhurst) Harrington of West Greenwich.

James began his Firefighting career as a junior member at the Hianloland Fire Company in West Greenwich. He achieved Lieutenant and then Captain for the Central Coventry Fire District. James was a member of the IAFF, Local 3372. He owned and operated J. Harrington Carpentry.

James was the brother of Barbara Kelley, and her husband Chief Raymond F. Kelley of West Greenwich. He was the son-in-law of Paul and Mary (Rita) Gosselin of Coventry. He was the brother-in-law of Christa and Joseph Russell of Brooklyn, CT, Cherie Ricciardi and Jeffrey Chevalier of West Greenwich and Coreen and Lt. Peter Gingerella of Hopkinton. James is also survived by three nieces, one nephew and one great-niece.

A Requiem Eucharist will be Wednesday at 10 am in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 99 Peirce St., East Greenwich. Interment in Rathbun Cemetery, Coventry. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4 -7 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. In lieu of flowers, donations to RI Pink Heals, P.O. Box 267, West Warwick, RI 02893 will be appreciated.
