Obituary: Nancy E. (Linker) Lipps, 73, RN

Nancy E. (Linker) Lipps, 73, of Trent Avenue, Warwick and formerly of Coventry, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Kent Hospital.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Virginia E. (Steel) Linker and a sister of the late Sandra J. “Sandi” Buffi. Nancy was the mother of Elisa D. Lipps of Warwick and Cheryl A. Lipps-Osborn of Danielson, Connecticut.

Nancy was employed as a Registered Nurse at the former Cranston General Hospital and in private practice before retiring.

Nancy enjoyed cooking, traveling, watching soap operas and spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren; Steven P. Lipps, Kayla A. Lipps, Ricky Osborn, Kaylee M. Lipps, Rory Osborn; and great- grandson Brandon P. Lipps.

Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. A Memorial Service will be Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Historic Baptist Church, 220 West Main St., North Kingstown, RI 02852. In lieu of flowers, donations to aid Nancy’s family will be appreciated.
