Accidental Shooting At Coventry Home Kills 1 Person, Leaves Another 'Gravely Injured'

Coventry police say the accidental shooting happened at a Mulberry Court home. One person is dead, and the other was rushed to the hospital.

One person died, and another was "gravely" injured, in an accidental shooting at a Coventry home on Tuesday, according to police.

Around 2:49 p.m., Coventry police and firefighters were called to a home on Mulberry Court for a report of an accidental shooting.

Police said when officers arrived, they found two adults. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while emergency officials rushed the other to Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick, police said.

Police have not released the identity of either person involved.

What led to the accidental shooting remains under investigation, but police said there is no danger to the public. No further information was immediately available.
