RI Police Departments Joining Forces For Annual Holiday Toy Drive
There's still time to donate to this year's Kids, Cops and Christmas project.

The Rhode Island State Police and departments around the state are once again teaming up to bring holiday joy to children this Christmas. Donated gifts will be distributed to organizations around the state.
The department is collecting gifts for kids with ages ranging from toddlers to teenagers, partnering with The Rhode Island Department of Public Safety, the Rhode Island Police Chiefs’ Association, the Warwick Police Department, the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Rhode Island and other state and federal law enforcement agencies. Donations will be given to the West End Community Action, Crossroads Rhode Island; Family Service of Rhode Island; Southside Boys and Girls Club/Prince 2 Kings; A Children’s Friend; the Hispanic Ministerial Association of Rhode Island; Multi-Cultural Center for All; the Mount Hope Neighborhood Association; the Center for Southeast Asians; the African Alliance; and the Chad Brown Alumni Association.
Gift cards for older kids and teenagers are among the most-needed gifts, the department said. Donations can be dropped off at state police barracks in Scituate, Lincoln Woods, Hope Valley and Wickford, along with several local police departments.

"Every child deserves a gift at Christmas," said State Police Major Christopher Dicomitis, who is in charge of this year's campaign. "We hope the toys and gifts we collect will help make the holidays a little brighter for many children and their families."
