State Police Identify Victims Of Fatal I-95 Crash

Two people were killed and two others injured in a crash on I-95 North in the early morning hours of Easter Sunday.

WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island State Police identified the tow victims of a fatal crash on Interstate 95 North early Sunday morning. Romario Cameron, 24, and Johny Goyau, 25, both of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, were pronounced dead at the scene of a crash near Exit 10 around 4 a.m.

According to state police, Cameron, the driver, was ejected from the vehicle after it went off the highway and hit a tree. Goyau was in the front passenger seat. The two other backseat passengers, aged 18 and 23, have not been identified. Both were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Cameron, Goyau and the two other passengers were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The cause is still being investigated by state troopers from the Wickford barracks and members of the Collision Reconstruction Team. Warwick police and fire departments assisted state police at the scene.
