21 Arrests Made In Rhode Island State Police 'Operation Heat'
13 vehicles, more than $48,000 and four guns were seized during the investigation, police said.

Nearly two dozen people were arrested over the course of a large Rhode Island State Police investigation nicknamed "Operation Heat." Over the course of the long-term criminal investigation, four guns, 13 vehicles, more than $48,000 and assorted illegal drugs were confiscated.
Colonel James Manni announced the arrests on Friday morning. The operation was a joint effort between several agencies including the State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, Attorney General Peter Neronha's office, the Department of Homeland Security, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Providence Police Department.
The arrests were connected to a pair of shootings in Providence earlier this summer as well as other crimes, state police said.
