Aldi Peaches Recalled For Possible Salmonella Contamination
The affected produce was sold from June 1 to Aug. 19.
Peaches sold at Aldi grocery stores for much of the summer are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The affected fruit was distributed by Wawona and Wawona Organic.
According to the Rhode Island Department of Health, the peaches were sold from June 1 to Aug. 19. Aldi removed the fruit from stores in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, which were available through the company's partnership with Instacart. The labels of the included products are available on Prima Wawoma and Aldi's websites.

The recall was issued following a Salmonella outbreak that is believed to have caused 60 illnesses in nine states. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating the outbreak.
