2 Providence Men Arrested, 1 Jailed After Cranston Traffic Stop
One of the men had a warrant out for his arrest, police said.
CRANSTON, RI — Two Providence men were arrested and one of them jailed following a traffic stop in Cranston, police said.
Atticus Emanuel Edwards, 20, and Daniel Gonzalez, also 20, were pulled over shortly before 12:45 a.m. Saturday on Route 10, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Edwards was charged with reckless driving and other offenses against public safety and obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and on a warrant charging him with failing to appear in court for a felony assault and/or battery case, the release said.

Gonzalez was charged with obstructing an officer in execution of duty, according to the release.
Both men were processed at the Wickford Barracks and arraigned by a justice of the peace, the release said.

Edwards was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions and Gonzalez was given a court date, according to the release.
