Thieves Rummaged Through Nearly 2 Dozen Vehicles, Stole $4,500 Bracelet: Cops

CRANSTON, RI — Thieves rummaged through nearly two dozen vehicles and stole wallets, cash, change and jewelry, including a diamond tennis bracelet valued at approximately $4,500, police said.

The victimized vehicles were primarily parked in the areas of Budlong Road, Meshanticut Valley Parkway and surrounding streets, as well as near Reservoir Avenue, the Cranston Police Department said in a social media post.

The thieves struck between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to the post.

"Items reported stolen include wallets, cash, change, jewelry, and other valuables," the post said. "In one case, a Louis Vuitton key-chain wallet valued at approximately $400 and a diamond tennis bracelet valued at approximately $4,500 were taken."

The police department encouraged residents in the affected areas to check their vehicles and report any missing property.
