
Anthony S. Landi, 90, of Cranston passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the beloved husband of Maria (DiRaimo) Landi for sixty-one years and devoted father of Donna M. Landi. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Agostino and Rosina (Ricci) Landi.
He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann Landi and the late Sadie Landi, Antonia Golini, Theresa Franco, Jennie Faraone, Angelina “Julie” Landi and Alphonse Landi.

Anthony was a World War II Veteran, unrecognized, one of the many in the Army Medical Corps who carried wounded soldiers off the battlefield without even wearing side arms. He wore, instead, a Red Cross which made him a target for the enemy.
He was an accomplished athlete who played semi-professional soccer for the Pawtucket Aces and also excelled in hockey and baseball.

He was employed at Providence Wholesale Drug and the City of Cranston for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Ave. Johnston.
Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
