Chocolate Bunnies Recalled

The state Department of Health issued the recall because the bunnies were not labeled and contained milk and could cause an allergic reaction in someone with a milk allergy.

Chocolate Bunnies from A&J Bakery on Park Avenue have been recalled because they may contain milk.

The bunnies, which were sold in cellophane bags with no labels and sold only in the store, contain milk and could pose a health risk to anyone with a milk allergy.

The state Department of Health issued an advisory on Friday.

The health department said that it received a complaint on Tuesday that someone ate a chocolate bunny and had an allergic reaction.

The bakery is cooperating with the health department’s investigation.   Anyone who has a milk allergy and still has a chocolate bunny is advised to not eat it. People who do not have a milk allergy can eat the bunny.
