Cianci Makes a Stop In Cranston to Promote His Book

Former Providence Mayor Vincent "Buddy" Cianci Jr. was at Tasca Automotive Group on Saturday to sign copies of his new book, Politics and Pasta.

Vincent "Buddy" Cianci was on hand at Tasca Automotive Group on Saturday, signing copies of his new book, Politics and Pasta, and selling bobblehead dolls in his likeness.

Cranston was a much-younger Cianci's stomping grounds.

"I grew up here," he said. "I lived on Laurel Hill Ave."

Cianci said sales of the new book are going well. He sold about 40 copies at Tasca, and "the book is the number one seller in Rhode Island," he said.

Cianci will be on the Today Show on Tuesday to promote the book. He'll next be in Cranston on April 23 at the Borders in Garden City from 1 to 3 p.m.
