The latest town-by-town data from the Rhode Island Department of Health shows that Providence still has considerably more coronavirus cases than any other city or town in Rhode Island. As of Tuesday, 766 cases were reported there, more than double that of Pawtucket, which has the second-highest.

Although the number of confirmed cases continues to steeply rise, Gov. Gina Raimondo said these figures shouldn't be alarming or surprising, because there is widespread community transmission of the virus in the state and because the number of people being tested has greatly increased over the past weeks.

Here's a look at the latest town-by-town data. More information is available on the health department's website.
