Cranston Man Indicted On Sexual Assault, Child Molestation Charges
A Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment Tuesday against Jose Fondeur Arias, 54, of Cranston.
CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston man was indicted Tuesday in Providence County Superior Court on sexual assault and child molestation charges, Attorney General Peter Neronha's office said Friday.
A Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Jose Fondeur Arias, 54, charging him with one count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of second-degree child molestation.
Arias was arrested by Cranston police on Jan. 24. According to prosecutors, the sexual assault happened in Cranston between Dec. 1, 2022, and Jan. 4, 2023. Prosecutors said Arias molested a child in Cranston between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2019.

Arias is scheduled to be arraigned on May 31, in Providence County Superior Court.
