Cranston Police ID Man Who Robbed Salon, Carjacked Car with Baby Inside
Police said Jerry Cintron, 33, is considered armed and dangerous.
The man who allegedly robbed a Cranston hair salon and carjacked a vehicle with a mother and baby inside to get away from police has been identified as Jerry Cintron, 33.
Cintron is described as a black man standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 285 pounds with blotchy pigmentation around his mouth and on his fingers.
He has a tattoo on his right arm of a cross and the word “Jerry.”

Cintron last lived in Pawtucket and might be driving a green 2003 BMW 745i with Rhode Island registration No. 961902.
Cintron was just released from the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston and has a lengthy criminal history, said Cranston Police Chief Col. Michael J. Winquist. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Cintron is currently on probation and is now wanted for second-degree robbery charges stemming from last week’s robbery and carjacking.
Anyone with information about Cintron`s whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Lindsay of the Cranston Police Department at 401-477-5142. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Cranston Police Department website (www.cranstonpoliceri.com). If you see Cintron, call 911 and do not approach.
Cintron allegedly robbed the salon at around 9 a.m. last Sunday.
Cintron reportedly had fled the salon on foot. Moments later, police got a report that a suspect matching his description had just carjacked a car parked with its engine running on Knollwood Avenue.
With the woman and her infant inside, Cintron had the woman drive south on Reservoir Avenue before it stopped near 1200 Reservoir Ave.
