Cranston Police Looking For Gas Station Robbery Suspect

Police said the woman pictured above was involved with the January armed robbery at Ocean State Mobil.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police are looking for a woman they said was involved in an armed robbery at a gas station in January.

The robbery happened just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 7, at the Ocean State Mobil gas station on Elmwood Avenue. As of Thursday, one man has been arrested, Izaiah M. Rivera Richard, 19, who was charged with first-degree robbery.

Richard is accused of threatening the store clerk with a knife and demanding all the money in the cash register. He then drove away in a car heading east on Park Avenue, police said. The car had been reported stolen from the parking lot of a Providence restaurant earlier that day, police said, and was later found abandoned by Providence police.
