Cranston Police Seize Counterfeit Merchandise from Litt Fashions
Wade E. Brown, 37, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the alleged possession and sale of counterfeit merchandise, police said.

CRANSTON, RI—Police raided Litt Fashions, at 633 Park Ave., on Tuesday afternoon. They also arrested the business owner, 37-year-old Wade E. Brown, in connection with the alleged possession and sale of counterfeit merchandise. He is also known as Jimmy Dean” and DJBiggBizz, police said.
According to the police, in February, members of the Cranston Police Department’s Special Victims Unit investigated the possible sale of counterfeit merchandise from the Park Avenue location. Police now allege Brown was selling counterfeit merchandise inside his store "where the goods were hung throughout in plain view" and "openly displayed for sale."
They also allege Brown was selling counterfeit items at a flea market.

The items, which were identified as counterfeit trademarked merchandise by intellectual property investigators from Power & Associates, included these brands: Nike, Polo, North Face, Louis Vuitton, Prada, various pro sports, Coach, Beats, and Ray Ban.
"It is estimated that if the items seized were authentic and sold in the legitimate market place, the total value would be approximately $20,000," police said.

Brown was arraigned at Cranston Police Headquarters by a bail commissioner on charges of Forgery, Counterfeiting, or Alteration of Trademark, Service mark, or Identification mark. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance to appear at Third District Court.
