The Thunderbolts of Cranston High School East handed the Cranston High School West Falcons a 42-29 defeat in Mayor's Cup Play at Cranston Stadium on Thanksgiving Day.
The victory sealed the Bolts a playoffs spot in Divison I, ending their regular season with a 5-3 divisional record.
The Falcons went into the game looking for a win to bring themselves to a tie for fourth place in the division and possession of the playoff spot. The up-for-grabs spot in the playoffs made the intensity going into the game especially high this year.
