I have yet to find in any source if there are any politicians running for a Cranston public office. I’ve searched high and low but all I’ve seen or read is on the State level.
I’m on the computer every day, I talk to my neighbors and yet the only sign we’ve seen is that of our councilman, Donald Botts.
As a voter, which I consider not only a right, but a privilege, I want to walk into my polling place as an informed citizen of the City of Cranston as well as the State of Rhode Island.

The primary is days away. I’ve read everything possible about State candidates for office but nary a word on the local level. This is disturbing - how can I possibly vote on the local level when I have no idea what is going on in my own city? Do I go into the polling area and be blind-sided by a list of local candidates or is there some publication that, at the very least, lists the candidates and what they are running for so we can do our research and vote accordingly ?
This is a need to know article for all Cranston residents - time is running short.
