"Characters and Aesthetic Explorations," an exhibition featuring the work of Edgewood artist Chris Woodhouse will be shown at the William Hall Library auditorium from February 24 through April 1. Mr. Woodhouse will exhibit a unique combination of cartoon illustrations and fine artworks in painting and mixed media.
Classic and contemporary comic book art, children's book illustrators, a variety of fine art genres, and the classic Hollywood animators of the 1940s-60s inspire his work.
Mr. Woodhouse says: "My fine art and illustrations are the result of a process-oriented work method originating from meticulous research, sketches, and concept pieces. In essence, they are both traditional and whimsical artworks."
The opening reception will take place on Thursday, March 1, from 6-9 pm.
For more information, or with any questions, please contact the William Hall Library by phone (781-2450), email (hall@cranstonlibrary.org), or in person.
