East Greenwich Art Club

  • The East Greenwich Art Club will be holding their next monthly meeting
    on June 7 at 7PM at our new meeting place First Baptist Church, 30
    Pierce Street, East Greenwich R.I. 02818.

    Our demonstrator will Richard Grosvenor, a nationally renown, award
    winning artist who resides in Newport, R.I.  He graduated with a BFA
    from Harvard University and he was the head of the art dept at St
    George's School in Newport for 40 years .His watercolors and oils are
    of urban, rural and architectural studiesof New England landscapes.
    He is Newport's muse and mentor and beloved art teacher. Dick
    co-founded the Spring Bull Gallery of Cooperative Arts in Newport and
    he was recently honored for his lifetime achievements in art at the
    Newport Art Museum Gala. His work can be found in collections all over
    the world.

    THERESA GIRARD - Award winning mixed media, abstract artist, author
    and teacher will present a demo &  some of her contemporary artwork.
    Theresa is currently exhibiting at the Voila gallery in Wickford and

    fused glass to create exquisite pieces of art incorporating  vivid

    FRANCES TOPPING -
    Award winning natural science illustrator, educator and naturalist who
    was born and educated in England.  Frances has a BS in geography,
    zoology and botany along with a certificate in natural history and
    design from RISD. Frances has led nature classes & trips for all ages
    and her art concentrates on personal fine art, landscapes and
    botanicals. She has been published in many scientific journals and
    textbooks.
