Fans Fill Theaters for Final Harry Potter Film

At the Showcase Warwick, muggles and wizards alike eagerly awaited "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," last night.

By 11:30 Thursday night, under a full moon, the parking lot at the Showcase Cinemas on Division Street in Warwick was equally full.

Inside the theater lobby, patrons were meeting friends, buying snacks, and then hurrying into one of the 14 theaters given over to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," on its opening night. Or perhaps it's more correct to say "morning," since the movie didn't start until 12:01am on Friday.

Most of the moviegoers could well be summed up by what one young woman from Providence said: "We're the Harry Potter generation."
