Food Blog Picks Wein-O-Rama in Top NY System Challenge

So it might be no surprise to the eatery's faithful that Wein-O-Rama has been named one of the top 10 New York System weiner establishments in Rhode Island by Fork in the Rhode, a local food blog.

Fork in the Rhode's contributors and a team of nearly 50 judges fanned out around the state, ordering Weiners "all the way." They dubbed it the 2012 Top 10 New York System Weiner Challenge.

Each weiner was judged on each individual component that makes a NY System what it is.

"The components must include a weiner, meat sauce, onions, mustard, celery salt and a bun. It’s the preparation and care of ingredients that create the real NY System," the blog post stated.

With a name like , you would expect each ingredient to hit a high note. Out of 50 establishments visited by the judges, it "maintained the highest overall scores in standard categories (Appearance, Steamed Bun, Weiner Texture, Meat Sauce, Onions, and Overall One-Bite taste)
