Free Fall Concerts in Cranston Start Oct. 24 at Hall Library

The stately Renaissance architecture of the William Hall Memorial Library in Cranston is an appropriate wrapper for cultural and mind-expanding experiences.

And so the library is a natural host of an annual free concert series every fall, which kicks off this year on Oct. 24 and will continue several Saturdays through November.

This year, the series brings jazz, calypso, reggae and classical music to the auditorium inside the library, beginning with The Tropical Gems on Oct. 24 with a diverse lineup of old classics and original compositions.

On Nov. 7, Michael Hession and Caleb Seibert will perform classical guitar music spanning the ages, including pieces from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras with pieces by Bach, Mozart, Granadus and more.

The Baker Brothers finish the series on Nov. 21. They’re a jazz quartet who plan on playing a tribute to jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery.

All performances run from 2 to 3 p.m.
