Garden City Starbucks to Reopen in Late June
The store is in the midst of a renovation and expansion.

If you planning on grabbing a cup of Starbucks the next time you're in Garden City, you'll have seek an alternate caffeine fix.
The store is currently closed during construction and won't be open until late June.
For a while, the store was still serving drinks (but no food) from a take-out window, but the construction has reached a point that the entire shop needs to be closed.

Officials from Garden City Center responded to our question on Twitter about when the store will reopen by saying "we expect construction to be finished around June 21."
So if you need some coffee and don't feel like leaving Garden City, consider heading to the nearby Dunkin Donuts (near Whole Foods) or walk down to Cafe on Midway and maybe grab a bite to eat too.

Once it reopens, the new Starbucks will have about twice the space and a new layout. The store absorbed some of the space freed up next door when Williams Sonoma jumped across Midway Road elsewhere in the destination shopping center.
