Got Cox? Get Ready for HD Channel Changes Tomorrow
Cox Communications announced that effective August 3, HDTV or CableCARD customers will have new channel numbers for their HD channels.

If you watch HD channels on Cox cable, be ready for new channel numbers starting on Wednesday.
The company announced yesterday that all HD channels will now have numbers in the 1000s, starting with 1002. The channel numbers will align with the standard definition channels. For example, ESPN on channel 30 would correlate to ESPN HD on channel 1030.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to find the channels, shows, and movies they’re looking for,” said Doreen Studley, vice president of marketing at Cox New England. “The customer experience is extremely important to us, and we think this move will have a strong positive impact.”
