Grab & Go Kids Planner: June 9

As we all know, family life can get pretty busy. This weekly feature will lay out a variety of family activities, all ranging in price, age range, and interest.

Welcome to the Grab & Go Kids Planner, where we bring you yet another five great activities for your family to enjoy over the next week.

Where/When: , Thursday June 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Why Go: This event, hosted by the Friends of the William Hall Library, will be held on the lawn of the Hall Library. Enjoy an evening of summer fun including music by Joe's Backyard Band, face painting, and a visit from Books are Wings. The event is being held to honor the trustees and emeriti.

Where/When: Providence Children's Museum on Friday June 10. Free Admission begins at 5:00 p.m.
Why Go: MetLife sponsors free admission to the museum from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. again this Friday, so get the kids ready and head to 100 South Street in Providence for an evening of exploration and fun.

Garden City Center Arts Festival http://patch.com/E-fth6
Where/When: Garden City Center on Saturday June 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Why Go: The arts festival will bring over 100 artists to Garden City, as well as street performers, farmers, activities for children, and food and drinks.
Pricing: Browse and have fun for free (food, drinks, and other purchased items are not free).

Public Planetarium Show http://bit.ly/gd7M0w
Where/When: Museum of Natural History & Planetarium at Roger Williams Park. Sunday June 12 at 2:00 p.m.
Why Go: This is a great opportunity to bring your kids (over age 4) to experience the universe all around us. Shows are 35 minutes long, so they won't be too antsy by the end.
Pricing: Admission is $3 for kids and adults over age 7. Kids under age 7 are $2, but remember children under 4 are not permitted in the planetarium.

Where/When: on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to dusk.
Why Go: Plan on swinging by Whole Foods for some groceries? Make sure to bring some cash and grab some farm fresh produce on your way out from these local farmers. Farmers Markets are a great way to teach your children about buying locally grown food, and its fun to pick out your own fruits and veggies that come straight from the ground!
