Lundsten Proposes $146m School Budget

Budget season has begun in Cranston.

Cranston Superintendent Judith Lundsten has delivered a proposed budget to the School Committee that calls for a spending increase of $5.3 million.

The increase would come primarily from state aid increases and Lundsten is proposing the district will ask for $1.8 million more from the city in its annual appropration.

Parents might be cheering over the budget’s funding the return of middle school music and sports, among other initiatives.
