New Jackie O Book's Author, Cranston Native, at Central Library Today

In the midst off wall-to-wall Hurricane Sandy coverage, you'll be glad to know local writer Tina Cassidy will be discussing her book, Jackie after O: One Remarkable Year when Jackie Kennedy Onassis Defied Expectations and Rediscovered Her Dreamsย this afternoon at the Central Library.
Stop by from 2 to 4 p.m. to meet Cassidy, a former Cranston resident and Cranston West grad, and learn more about her "fascinating account of one year in the life of the former First Lady [that] details the remarkable events of 1975 that would define the rest of her life," according to a library press release.
Cassidy is a former reporter and editor at the Boston Glove and lives in Massachusetts. She is widely recognized for her book Birth: The Surprising History of How We Are Born.ย
