Obituary: Anthony Charles Ciano, 90, Master Plumber and Electrician

Anthony Charles Ciano, 90 ,of Cranston, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015.

Anthony Charles Ciano, 90 ,of Cranston, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Gentile) Ciano. Born in Providence, the devoted son of the late Pasquale and Anna (Squizzero) Ciano, he was a lifelong resident of Cranston.

Anthony was a Licensed Master Plumber and Electrician in the plumbing and heating industry for over 60 years. A Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WW-II, he served with Troop A 88th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and received the American Theater Campaign Ribbon and European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon. An active member of St. Mary’s Church in Cranston, he was Past President of the Holy Name Society, a Eucharistic Minister and Usher.

Anthony was the devoted and loving father of Joan Carol and Mary Ann; and dear brother of Arthur Thomas Ciano of Little Rock, AR.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are WEDNESDAY MORNING from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
