Obituary: Betty Tomaselli

Betty P. Tomaselli (Martinelli) of Natick Avenue Cranston, Rhode Island died at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence on Friday October 4th after a prolonged illness.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Madeline (DeAngelis) Martinelli. She leaves her husband Rosario V. Tomaselli, a retired orthopedic surgeon; a brother Anthony Martinelli (Lily); two nieces Claudia DeMauro (Pat), and Lisa Cardillo (David); three beloved “kids” Kevin Tomaselli (son Adam), Kathleen Large (Thomas and son Thomas), and Karen Morry (Thomas); several cousins; and a great nephew and great niece.

She resided in Providence then moved to western Cranston after her marriage in 2002. She was employed by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for 36 years. She was a communicant and active supporter of St. Mary’s Church in Cranston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 9th at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:30am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. In lieu of flowers, the charity of choice is Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904.
