
Carolyn Hoard (McLaughlin) 82, of Cranston passed away on Sunday September 22, 2013 surrounded by the family that loved her at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston.
Carolyn was the beloved wife of the late Earl R. Hoard. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Barbara B. (Affleck) McLaughlin and sister of the late Sgt Charles F. McLaughlin Jr. Carolyn started her working career at B A Ballou Manufacturing.
She then was and an administrative assistant for Louttit Laundry for almost 20 years before finishing the last ten years of her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Providence before retiring in 1997. She enjoyed duckpin bowling, ceramics, western movies, card playing and board games - It was hard to beat her at monopoly.

She is survived by her son Russell and his wife Linda of Cranston, her son Robert and his wife Lori of Lincoln, her son Kevin of Pawtucket and her daughter Margaret of Cumberland. Carolyn was also blessed with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held on Thursday September 26th at in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial followed in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers donations to the Rhode Island Blood Center 405 Promenade Street Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
