James W. Parker Jr., 80, of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away peacefully on June 10th surrounded by his loving family.

James W. Parker Jr., 80, of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away peacefully on June 10th surrounded by his loving family. He was son of the late James and Anna Parker of Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Eleanor (DelBonis) Parker; his son James W. Parker, III and his wife, Tammy Parker of Austin, Texas; daughter Susan Parker of Worcester, Massachusetts and daughter Amy Parker Pignataro and her husband Richard Pignataro of Cranston, Rhode Island. He was also the proud grandfather to his three grandsons, Jimmy Parker, Parker Pignataro and Luke Pignataro. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ellen Landry and her husband Dr. John Landry of New Braunfels, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
James was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He was a long standing member of the St. Joseph’s Men’s Guild and an active member of Immaculate Conception Church.

His Funeral with Military Honors will be held Monday at 8:30 AM from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr., Cranston. Interment will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
