Obituary: John M. Ruggieri, 81

John M. Ruggieri, 81, of Bretton Woods Drive Cranston, RI passed away Friday June 22, 2013 at Miriam Hospital.

He was the husband of Pauline (Pappas) Ruggieri. Born in Barrington, a son of the late John Anthony Ruggieri and Ruth Oliva Ruggieri.

Mr. Ruggieri was founder and owner of CPI Controls, home office 29 Mendon Avenue Pawtucket, RI. He founded the Business in 1973. He was a Korean Marine Corps Veteran. He was a member of the Assumption Church Building Fund Committee and a former Parish Council President. He was founder of Reach-Out Associates, a philanthropic organization.

Besides his wife, Mr. Ruggieri is survived by his daughter, Nicole R. Lehourites, her husband William Lehourites and his grandson, Jonathan W. Lehourites. He was the father of the late Kristin Paula Ruggieri; brother of the late C. Paul Ruggieri and brother-in-law of Gloria Ruggieri.

His funeral is Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home with a service in the Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. CALLING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the "Ruggieri Memorial Fund" at the Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
